(Whitewater Township, OH) - A wrong-way driver crashed his vehicle causing a 4-car crash on I-74.
Monday morning at 2:30 a.m., 46 year old Lafayette Dante Smith was traveling eastbound on westbound I-74.
Smith approaching State Route 128 on I-74.... struck 24 year-old Eli Valasquez-Zacarias's 2010 Mazda. A box truck driven by Issac Slaughter,34, and a truck driven by Charlee Combs,31, both hit Smith's vehicle in the process.
7 people were transported to local hospitals via ambulance or air care. Two children were hurt in the process.
Police believe alcohol to be a factor in the crash. The accident still remains under investigation.
