ORIGINAL STORY:

A delivery driver is dead and a gas station clerk was shot during a robbery this morning just after 7 a.m. in Seaman.

Sheriff Kimmy Rogers gave a brief statement just before noon, explaining that there were two crime scenes they were investigating but wouldn't provide more information about the second scene at that time.

The delivery driver died at the Marathon gas station at State Route 32 and Main Street. The clerk was taken to a Cincinnati hospital for treatment. Rogers said he'd spoken with the woman's father, who said she was doing "good."

The sheriff's department confirmed that the suspect was chased into Pike County on State Route 32 and crashed two miles past Germany Rd. Rogers confirmed the suspect is dead. OSHP Lt. Cvetan says the suspect shot himself while driving, which caused his car to crash after crossing the median on SR 32.

The Bureau of Crime Investigation will handle the investigation and provide updates.
