Police Looking For SUV Involved In School Bus Wreck

(Franklin, OH) - On Thursday afternoon Franklin Police officers were dispatched to the 900 block of S. River St. for a school bus that was struck by a vehicle. The vehicle fled the scene.

Police later located the suspect vehicle on St. Rt. 73 West and Breiel Blvd. in Middletown. The vehicle failed to stop, and police pursued it through Middletown and onto I-75 northbound. It continued into Dayton. Eventually police lost contact.

Police are looking for a white Ford Explorer with Ohio registration HUV3142 with moderate damage to the front right quarter panel.

The school bus was occupied by 34 Waynesville students from the female varsity and junior varsity soccer teams. There were no injuries to the students or to the bus driver. There is minor damage to the driver side of the bus.
