4-Alarm Fire In The Clifton Area

(Cincinnati,OH) - A 4-alarm fire spread to five homes in the Clifton area Monday morning. A fire broke out at 3:40 a.m. on the 2000 block of Halstead Street.

A building caught fire and collapsed, catching four additional attics on fire. 70 firefighters responded to the scene to assist with the fires. One woman bound to a wheelchair was rescued. No additional injuries have been reported.

Fire officials believe three of the buildings were inhabited and two were vacant. There is still no word yet on a cause of the fire.
