( California, Cincinnati ) - Coney Island is making changes at the end of the 2019 season.
In a Monday announcement, CEO Rob Schutter Jr says all amusement park rides will be dismantled and removed as the park plans on focusing more on its water attractions.
"All of our consumer research, all of our consumer feedback, and all of our in-park date shows that the vast majority of our guests come to Coney Island because of the fun they have while in the Sunlite Pool area," Schutter said.
The last day for the amusement and thrill rides will be September 21.
