( Hamilton County, OH) - Hamilton County Prosecutor Joe Deters handed down a murder indictment Thursday to 33 year-old Terry Stiles.
Stiles already served 8 years in prison after being convicted of assaulting a 5 month old baby back in 2005.
Carl Leggit Jr. was beaten and shaken, and was never able to walk, see or eat normally.
Carl died in May of this year at the age of 14. The Hamilton County Coroner’s Report indicates that Carl’s death was the result of complications from the traumatic brain injury he suffered in 2005 and ruled his death a homicide.
In a press release, Deters says, “There is no reason to ever put your hands on a child. Terry Stiles went to prison for the original felonious assault charge in 2005 and should go back to prison for his murder.
If convicted of murder, Stiles could get 15 years to life in prison.
