Dog Brutally Attacked Survives

(Hamilton, OH) - Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones says that on Saturday August 17, 2019 a person walking in Madison Twp. discovered an injured dog on the side of the road in the 5000 block of Trenton Franklin Rd. The canine’s nose and mouth were taped shut with duct tape and its throat cut. The dog was taken to a veterinarian where a chip was located on the animal. The information on the chip came back to Heart Rescue in Cincinnati. Heart Rescue advised that they adopted the dog out in 2011 and that information is being investigated. The Butler County Sheriff’s Dog Warden has been investigating this case of animal cruelty and is asking for the public's help in identifying the dog to assist in locating its owner. “This is appalling. Words cannot describe the disgust I’m feeling right now. We will work diligently to find who did this and seek justice," said Sheriff Jones.
