Kenton County officials are recovering a body found floating in the Ohio River this morning near the Clay Wade Bailey bridge.
The Covington Police Department said in a release that they responded to the area of the bridge at 9:52 a.m. With the assistance of the U.S. Coast Guard and the Covington Fire Department, officers were able to locate and extricate a body from the Ohio River and brought it to shore.
The individual carried no identification, described as a black male, approximately in his late 40s to early 50s.
Covington Police Criminal Investigation Bureau and the Kenton County Coroner's Office are at the scene gathering further information and working to identify the subject.
