Take a Virtual Ride on the New Giga Coaster at Kings Island

It will be called Orion because it transports you up into the sky, before dropping you 300 feet. Kings Island has unveiled the new thrill ride for next year and it will be a giga coaster, one of only seven in the world. The first hill will be taller than the observation platform on the Eiffel Tower at the park. The new ride will be ready by next spring and represents the biggest investment that Kings Island has ever made at the park. It will cost over $30 million to build which is more than the owners spent to build the entire amusement park back in 1972.

Orion will feature a total of eight hills including the first which descends over 300 feet, top speed on the coaster will top 90 mph. Take a virtual ride from the front seat by clicking here.
