President Trump to Visit Dayton

( Dayton, Ohio ) - After addressing the nation Monday following mass shootings in both El Paso, Texas, and Dayton, Ohio, President Trump is visiting both cities on Wednesday.

He's expected to arrive in Dayton in the morning, and it's unclear if he'll tour the scene of the shooting in the popular Oregon District or possibly visit people who are still recovering in the hospital. He's expected to be joined by Gov Mike DeWine, Sens Sherrod Brown and Rob Portman, and Dayton Mayor Nan Whaley.

In comments yesterday, Mayor Whaley said she was disappointed in the president's remarks, which included him offering condolences to Toledo instead of Dayton. But Mayor Whaley says she hopes the president's intent with the visit is to help heal and unite, not divide. She says she plans on welcoming him to the city in her role as mayor.
