Cincinnati Bishop accused in cover up of inappropriate behavior by a priest

Covering up accusations of inappropriate behavior by a Cincinnati priest.

Cincinnati's Archbishop is apologizing over how the case of Father Geoff Drew has been handled. Archbishop Dennis Schnurr telling the Catholic News Agency that they obviously made serious mistakes in handling the matter adding that they are very sorry.

Drew was investigated for inappropriately touching children and making inappropriate sexual comments according to the report and was transferred from West Chester to Saint Ignatius in Monfort Heights without telling anyone there about the suspicions. The Archbishop says he did not know and the personnel board was never told about Drew's history before the transfer. It is alleged that the Auxiliary Bishop Joseph Binzer failed to report the allegations and he has now been removed from his post as archdiocesan vicar general. More details will be released at an Archdiocese news conference this afternoon.
