Heavy Traffic Expected with Presidential Visit

US-POLITICS-TRUMP-SIGNING

( Cincinnati ) - Getting around town late this afternoon will likely be a challenge.

President Trump is holding a rally at US Bank Arena that's scheduled to start at 7pm. For security reasons, the president's exact travel plans are not released, but drivers should expect interstates and entrance/exit ramps to shut down as his motorcade travels from the airport (it's unknown if he'll fly into CVG or Lunken) into downtown Cincinnati. Previous presidential visits have involved full highway closures for fairly extended periods of time.

Also, Florida Georgia Line is performing a sold out concert at Riverbend. That's also set to start at 7 o'clock, but traffic along I-275 and 471 will be heavy long before that. Cincinnati Police put out a warning earlier Tuesday afternoon:

It's unclear how long either event will last, and both could cause a surge in traffic around the same time once they've ended.

700WLW is scheduled to carry the Reds game against the Braves in Atlanta Tuesday evening, though you can hear the president's rally on 700wlw.com
