CPD: Woman with Knife Shot During Struggle

( East Price Hill ) - For the second time this month, Cincinnati Police are investigating an officer-involved shooting.

Chief Eliot Isaac held a news conference Tuesday afternoon. He says just before 4pm, there was a report of a woman armed with a knife who was threatening suicide on Crestline Ave near the dead-end with Beaumont Pl. Chief Isaac says the woman in her 20's threatened the officers, and there was some sort of struggle. It was during that struggle that the chief says the woman was shot in the leg.

That woman's been taken to UC Medical Center in unknown condition. Chief Isaac says there were multiple children in the home at the time. None of the officers were seriously injured.

More information is expected at a news conference on Wednesday.

Police on the 4th of July were called to a park in Madisonville and were met by a man who allegedly had a knife and threatened officers. That man was also shot by police.
