(Butler County) - Authorities have identified the two people killed in an apparent murder-suicide in Butler County last night.
They say Mathew Ferris died last night after a police pursuit the ended on Boyle Road. Officers say they believe Ferris shot and killed a man on Millvalle Avenue in Hamilton earlier that night. The Butler County Coroner's Office says the man killed on Millvalle Avenue is Martin Ritchie.
Ferris fled Ritchie's home and Deputy Mike Gibson spotted a vehicle matching the description, and started following Ferris. Ferris then lead the officer on a high-speed chase, and then shot himself after the chase ended.
