The surge in gun violence in Cincinnati that started in June is continuing in July. 18 year old Brian Messer (pictured above in CPD Photo) is the latest homicide victim. Messer was gunned down late last night in West Price Hill. 26 year old Tyshawn Mayers (pictured below in CPD Photo) has been charged with the murder.

On July 4, 2019, at 10:53 PM, District Three officers responded to the 1200 block of First Street to investigate the report of a shooting. The victim of the shooting was transported by private conveyance to Mercy West Hospital for medical treatment. The victim later succumbed to his injuries as the result of the shooting. The victim has been identified as Bryan Messer, 18 years of age.
On July 5, 2019, at 4:30 AM, the Homicide Unit, arrestedMr. Tyshawn Mayers, 26 years of age, and charged him with Murder in the death of Mr. Messer.
