( Waverly, Ohio ) - Charges against the paternal grandmother of the Wagner family have been dropped.
Fredericka Wagner was accused of perjury and obstruction in connection to the murders of eight members of the Rhoden family in Pike County in 2015. Wagner's son, his wife, and two of her adult grandsons are charged with murdering those people. Investigators say it was part of a child custody dispute.
Fredericka allegedly lied about the purchase of two bulletproof vests, but prosecutors on Wednesday asked that the charges be dismissed, reportedly involving the time left to bring the case against her to trial.
Billy Wagner, Angela Wagner, George Wagner, and Jake Wagner have pleaded not guilty to the murder charges against them.
