( Blue Ash, OH ) - Police say a man barricaded himself inside a Blue Ash apartment Thursday night, after they tried to serve an arrest warrant.
The incident started around 9pm at Altitude Apartments on Hunt Road. Officers say the ex-girlfriend of 28 year-old Jordan Ribariu, claimed he violated a protection order against her. When they went to arrest him at his home, he locked himself inside and refused to come out.
His ex-girlfriend told police that Ribariu had made suicidal comments to her.
The third floor of the apartment complex was evacuated as a precaution, as it was believed there were weapons inside the apartment.
Hamilton County SWAT was called in to assist Blue Ash Police with negotiations, which lasted over 10 hours.
It wasn't until after 7am Friday that Ribariu surrendered peacefully.
As of now, He has been charged with violating a protection order.
