UPDATE: Erlanger Police have now named the suspect in Thursday morning's gunfire.

27-Year-Old Jacob Ray Julick is the man police say fired shots at officers during a traffic stop.

( Erlanger, Kentucky ) - Police officers from multiple departments swarmed part of Dixie Highway on Thursday morning after shots were fired at a Lakeside Park police officer.

It started with a traffic stop around 8:30am on Dixie Highway near Kenton Lands Rd. Police say one of the people in the stopped car, got out, fired shots, then ran. No one was hurt.

From there, officers brought in K9 units and a drone to search the area. It had an effect traffic and on businesses and facilities nearby like the Kenton County Public Library. The driver of the car was not the gunman, that person is said to be cooperating with police.

Investigators released a picture of a person they'd like to find, described as a white man, clean-shaven, wearing a red shirt and jeans. He has a slight mustache and a tattoo on the left side of his neck.
