Cincinnati Kosher BBQ Cook-Off & Festival

The Third Annual Cincinnati Kosher BBQ Cook-Off & Festival will take place on Sunday, July 14th from 2 – 7 PM. Sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbeque Society and supervised by the Cincinnati Kosher Vaad Hoier, the event will be held at Adath Israel Congregation, 3201 E. Galbraith Rd. 45236. Everyone in the greater Cincinnati community and beyond is welcome to enjoy the competition, entertainment, food, and fun. Admission and parking are free. Tickets for food and drinks will range from $2 - $12. Up to 18 teams from Cincinnati, New York, Chicago, Israel, and more will be cooking up brisket, short ribs, chicken, and turkey & will be judged by a panel of KCBS certified judges. Contestant samples will be available for purchase while supplies last. Two popular local bands, Pandora Effect and Blue Rock Band, and a musical dance troupe from Israel will be performing. Children will enjoy inflatables and games at the Scene 75 Kids Zone. The food court will offer brisket sandwiches, hamburgers and hot dogs, smoked turkey legs, vegetarian BBQ, baked beans, and more. Raffle tickets will be on sale for a chance to win the Grand Prize: a 2-year lease on a new Toyota Highlander or $10,000, 2nd place: $3,000, or 3rd place : $1,000. A portion of the net profit will go to the Child Poverty Collaborative and the Freestore Foodbank.
