( Butler County ) - It was a little over a year ago when 3-year-old Hannah Wesche died. She was in the hospital in critical condition for days with severe bruising, traumatic brain injury, and more. Monday afternoon, the woman who was supposed to be taking care of the child goes on trial.
Investigators say 37-year-old Lindsay Partin (pictured) hit Hannah on March 6, 2018. Two days later, Partin was on the phone with 911 as Hannah's father was trying to revive her, saying the girl passed out and wasn't breathing. Partin says Hannah had fallen recently, but doctors say her injuries were too severe to have been caused by a simple fall. Partin allegedly beat the little girl because she had dumped ketchup in the toilet.
Jury selection is set to get underway Monday afternoon.
