President's Drug Czar Visits Kenton County Jail

Jim Carroll, whose official title is White House Office of National Drug Control Policy Director, along with Sen. Mitch McConnell (R-KY), paid a visit to the Kenton County Detention Center Monday as he seeks new ways to combat the opioid epidemic and heard about a program the facility offers to treat inmates dealing with addiction.

Carroll commended Kentucky for its jail-based treatment for inmates, which is the first of its kind in the country that launched in 2015.
