Details Released in Sayler Park Fatal Crash

( Sayler Park ) - River Road was closed for hours on Tuesday because of a deadly crash involving a pickup truck and two semi trucks, and now Cincinnati Police are releasing details.

A statement from the department says 64-year-old Charles Foust was turning left from Monitor Ave to go east on River Road when he was struck by a westbound semi. Foust's pickup was knocked into the grassy median, and the big rig was forced into eastbound traffic. It overturned and was struck by an eastbound semi.

Foust was pronounced dead at the scene. Police say neither he nor a passenger in the pickup with him was wearing a seat belt. That passenger was taken to the hospital in critical condition. The driver of the first semi was also allegedly not buckled up. He suffered minor injuries. The driver of the second semi was not hurt.

Police say excessive speed and impairment are unknown factors right now.
