(Cincinnati) - The suspect in the fatal hit-and-run that killed a Chattanooga police officer with Cincinnati ties has turned herself in.
Nicholas Galinger was struck Saturday night while standing outside his patrol car with his field training officer. The 38-year-old graduated from Clermont Northeastern High School. He'd just graduated from the police academy one month before the incident.
Janet Elaine Hinds turned herself in for the hit-and-run wreck this morning. Police say they recovered an SUV at her home with front-end damage yesterday. She's facing a vehicular homicide charge.
Galinger will be buried in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Union Township. T.P. White and Sons funeral home in Mount Washington is helping with funeral arrangements.
