(Mason) - Mason City Schools has released a statement about the student who died after being diagnosed with the flu and strep throat.
Officials say Sable Gibson went into cardiac arrest Tuesday afternoon after being diagnosed with the illnesses. She was a student at Western Row Elementary School.
The district says there will be counselors available at the school today.
