( Cincinnati ) - Condolences are being offered Tuesday afternoon as word that the wife of Vice Mayor Christopher Smitherman, Pamela Smitherman, has died.
The 48-year-old has been fighting breast cancer for the last two years. In a statement posted on Twitter, Smitherman says "the plight of cancer knows no bounds," and that the family's faith in God is strong. Pamela and Christopher Smitherman were married for 28 years and had five children.
Funeral arrangements are pending.
