Two CPD Officers Caught Using Racial Slurs

( CINCINNATI, OH ) -- The Cincinnati Chapter of the NAACP is calling for the immediate termination of now two Cincinnati Police Department officers after allegedly using the N-word in the field.

Last weekend, Chief Elliot Isaac said he discovered on body cam video that Officer Dennis Barnette used the racial slur after a woman he was arresting outside of a club shoved him. Barnette has been placed on desk duty during an investigation.

Now, the chief is finding out that Officer Donte Hill used the word while responding to a disturbance at an apartment complex back in September. City Manager Patrick Duhaney says Hill wasn't punished at the time because the incident was "incorrectly categorized when presented to Chief Isaac."

Both incidents are being investigated by the Internal Investigations Section.
