Cop Shooter Sentenced to Decades in Prison

( Cincinnati ) - A man accused of ambushing Cincinnati Police in Walnut Hills about a year and a half ago will likely spend the rest of his life in prison.

39-Year-Old Damion McRae was sentenced in Hamilton County on Tuesday to 43.5 years in prison.

He was convicted last month of multiple counts including the attempted murder of a police officer. Prosecutors say he shot Officer Kenneth Grubbs in the abdomen from six feet away in what city leaders have called an ambush. Officer Grubbs and Officer William Keuper both returned fire, hitting McRae.
