(Cincinnati) - The City of Cincinnati and Kroger will pay $240,000 to the family of an 11-year-old who was stunned by Taser at Kroger.

Donesha Gowdy was shoplifting when off-duty Cincinnati police officer Kevin Brown was working security duty in the Kroger on Kenard Avenue.

Brown told Donesha to stop and when she didn't, he deployed his Taser.

Both the city and the grocery giant agreed to pay the money to settle an excessive force claim.
