(700 WLW)- "Halloween" topping the box office, delivering an estimated $77.5 million in its opening weekend, recording the second best October opening ever, behind "Venom's" $80 million, and the second largest opening for an R-rated horror film behind last year's "It," which opened with $123.4 million. It only cost some 10 million dollars to make the latest Halloween installment. Jamie Lee Curtis returns as Laurie Strode in this direct sequel to the 1978 original. Still dealing with the violent attack she suffered 40 years earlier, she prepares to face Michael Meyers for once last confrontation, as he returns to try and finish her off. Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, Will Patton, and Virginia Gardner also star.
