( Warren County ) - The prosecutor calls it "infuriating." A woman is under indictment on charges she stole from the youth baseball organization of which she was the treasurer.

46-Year-Old Renee Nichols of Springboro is charged with aggravated theft and tampering with records for allegedly embezzling money from the Springboro Clearcreek Baseball Association. In a statement released Monday, Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell says Nichols stole $180,000 from 2013 to 2017. He says she was caught after the group got a new board member who's also a certified public accountant with experience in fraud investigations.

Nichols allegedly doctored bank records to hide the nature of her spending. She's also accused of destroying a laptop with SCBA's financial information on it. Investigators have allegedly found about a thousand incidents of Nichols using the group's money on herself.
