( Cincinnati ) - In preparation for the annual spike in items being shipped ahead of Christmas, there are a pair of dueling job fairs to hire seasonal workers.
The Cincinnati Postal Service Job Fair is Wednesday, October 10, from 10am to 1pm at the main office on Dalton Avenue. The Cincinnati Post Office is looking to hire up to 100 City Carrier Assistants. A statement from the Postal Service says salary is $16.78 per hour with some benefits and the possibility of qualifying for full-time employment.

Also on Wednesday, Amazon is looking to fill thousands of holiday jobs locally. Candidates can walk in, apply, and potentially receive an on-the-spot job offer. That event runs from 8am to 7pm at the Amazon Hiring Center on 2091 North Bend Road, Hebron, Kentucky.
Amazon recently announced a $15 an hour minimum wage for all hourly employees.
