Man Dies Weeks after Single Vehicle Crash

( West Price Hill ) - An update from Cincinnati Police about a crash from late July: a man injured in a crash has now died from his injuries.

On the night of July 26, police were called to Sunset Avenue near Guerley Road for a crash where the driver lost control, drove off the road, struck a sign, a pole, and then overturned. Reports from the scene said 31-year-old Matthew Toenesmeyer was found pinned under the car. Police say he was not wearing his seatbelt.

He's been at UC Medical Center ever since, and police on Wednesday announced that Toenesmeyer died from his injuries on August 30.

Investigators say excessive speed and impairment appear to be factors in the crash.
