(Cincinnati)  -  A Milford man has been indicted for alleged stealing money from Tri-State homeowners after offering to repair their roofs.

Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine says that Robert J. Collins, 35, was indicted on multiple charges in connection with the alleged scam.

A Hamilton County grand jury indicted Collins on charges of theft from the elderly and theft.

The Ohio Attorney General says Collins is accused of stealing more than $50,000 from nine homeowners.  The company he ran was called United Home Solutions.  Investigators say Collins would offer to fix roofs, but after homeowners paid for materials he’d not make any repairs.

The Ohio Attorney General’s Economic Crimes Unit investigated this case.  Anyone who suspects a scam or unfair business practice should call 800-282-0515.
