( Cincinnati ) - Last weekend was the Reds and St Vincent de Paul annual "Strike Out Hunger" food drive, and the volunteer organization says it now has more than three tons of food.

From Friday, June 22, to Sunday, June 23, Reds fans donated 6,650 pounds of non-perishable food outside of Great American Ball Park. Fans who donated food got a free ticket to a future Reds game.

"We are extremely grateful for our continued community partnership with the Cincinnati Reds and all of the thoughtful donations from fans," said Executive Director of St Vincent de Paul - Cincinnati's Mike Dunn in a statement.
