Elmwood Place Mayor Facing Domestic Violence Charge

(Elmwood Place, OH) - The Mayor of Elmwood Place is facing several charges after an altercation with his husband on Saturday, according to court documents.

Mayor William Wilson, 48, and his husband Elmwood Place Maintenance Supervisor William Smith, 60, were drinking at the Cincinnati Pride celebration then afterwards got into a fight and started punching each other at their Maple Street home.

Court records and photos show the couple had black eyes and scratches from broken glass.

Both Wilson and Smith were arrested and taken to the Hamilton County Jail.

Wilson is being charged with resisting arrest, obstructing official business, disorderly conduct, and domestic violence, according to court documents. 

Smith is facing charges of disorderly conduct and domestic violence.

Both men are scheduled for arraignment at 9 a.m. Monday in Hamilton County Justice Center Room A.
