Will Nurses Walk Out at UC Medical Center

The current contract for nurses at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center runs out on June 30th. Negotiations over a new deal are underway and today members of the Registered Nurses Association are receiving updates on the talks at the old Saint Monica/ St. George Church on Herman Avenue. The nurses have already authorized the union to call a strike if their demands are not met. The biggest issue is a nursing shortage at U.C. which the nurses say is putting patient safety in jeopardy.

A petition to increase staffing levels at U.C. Medical Center has been posted at Move.org, read it by clicking here.
