(Cincinnati, OH) -- A Seven Hills School teacher will set off today on what could be a record-setting journey.
Bryce Carlson is planning to become the first American to row solo across the north Atlantic Ocean, traveling from Newfoundland to southwest England.
Carlson, who teaches biology, environmental studies and psychology at the Seven Hills School, plans to row 12 to 15 hours a day, covering 35 to 50 miles a day weather permitting.
His 700 pound 20-foot-long boat made of carbon fiber, is loaded down with the supply's needed for the roughly 2,000 mile long journey.
