Man Facing Charges After Standoff With Union Township Police

(Union Township, OH) - A standoff with police in Union Township Sunday afternoon, according to Union Township Police.

Officers were called out to the 400 block of Stonecreek Way just after noon after a medical monitoring company alert from a man at his apartment.

When Union Township officers attempted to contact the man, he told officers that he had barricaded the door and was not coming out then indicated he had a weapon, said police.

The weapon was later discovered to be a pellet gun.

The Clermont County Special Response Team was called into assist and the man surrendered around 3:40 p.m. and was taken into custody. 

He is facing aggravated menacing and inducing panic charges.
