Cincinnati Could Host World Cup

Cincinnati has secured a MLS team and now it has an eye on the World Cup. FIFA has announced it will hold the cup in North America in 2026 and Paul Brown Stadium is being considered as a host site. The list of 23 host cities includes Cincinnati but will eventually be paired down to 16.

The committee working to bring the World Cup to Cincinnati will talk about it tonight before the FC Cincinnati game at Nippert Stadium.

Even though Cincinnati has made a meteoric rise through the soccer world, the city did not make Wallet Hubs list of the top ten cities in America for soccer in 2018. Cincinnati was ranked 21st just ahead of Louisville at 22. Los Angeles was number one followed by Orlando and Seattle.  Columbus was ranked 12th.
