( West Chester, Ohio ) - Local firefighters joined together last week to honor a fallen brother. Fire companies from both West Chester and Glendale dedicated a plaque to Tim Burns on the first anniversary of the West Chester firefighter’s death.

The plaque was placed at base of the flagpole on West Chester Fire Station 74’s lawn.

Burns was a 19-year-veteran of the West Chester Fire Department and was active until he died after a long battle with occupational renal cancer. He was a firefighter for more than 30 years and also worked as a captain with the Glendale Fire Department.
