Construction Project on I-275 Begins Monday

( California/Anderson Twp ) - Monday, May 14, kicks off a new construction project along a stretch of Interstate 275.

ODOT workers will begin preparing a 1.6 mile stretch of the highway for repaving between Four Mile Road and the Combs-Hehl Bridge on Monday, but traffic likely won't be affected until next month. "As we move to mid-June, we will be constructing crossover lanes [and] putting up some temporary concrete barrier to make that contraflow implementation," says Brian Cunningham, Public Information Officer for the Ohio Department of Transportation.

It hasn't been decided yet which order the eastbound and westbound directions of I-275 will be affected yet, but both will see lane restrictions before the $31 million dollar project is complete in 2020.
