( Hamilton, OH ) - The assistant principal at Brookwood Elementary resigned Thursday after illegal drugs were found in his office.
That powdery substance tested positive for methamphetamine, and a warrant was issued for Kevin Kernohan's arrest.
Kernohan is facing one felony count of Possession of a Controlled Substance. He turned himself in to police Friday afternoon.
Kernohan became subject of a robbery investigation in late April, after police say a car he rented was used in a burglary. It was later determined he had no knowledge or involvement in that crime, and at this time is only considered a witness.
However, information obtained in that investigation did lead to the conclusion that Kernohan was connected to illegal drugs.
