FC Cincinnati Releases Stadium Concept

FC Cincinnati Concept Plan

( West End ) - The latest draft of FC Cincinnati’s proposed Major League Soccer stadium shows a facility with potentially 28,080 seats.

FC Cincinnati spokeswoman Anne Sesler sent the diagram showing where the stadium could be oriented in the West End to the 700WLW newsroom.

The recent rendering shows the stadium would seat 16,610 general admission tickets, 3,970 premium tickets and 500 H.C./Media tickets, totaling 21,080 spots. There will be the possibility of adding 7,000 seats on top of that.

A parking lot and team facility are also shown in the rendering, which puts the soccer stadium very close to Taft High School, the Cincinnati Ballet, and the Cincinnati Police Department.

Details in the diagram, like the number of seats and orientation in the neighborhood, could change. They will be evaluated when architects are formally hired by the club if FC gets the MLS bid.

FC Cincinnati officials have not yet heard if they team will become a major league club. The West End stadium site was approved in April 16 after months of controversy.
