Xavier Head Basketball Coach Is Moving On

(Cincinnati, OH) - It appears to be the end of an era at Xavier University. The coach who was won more games for the Musketeers than any other is set to move 100 miles south. Several reports say that Chris Mack will become the new head basketball coach at the University of Louisville.

Terms of the deal to attract him to the Cardinals are not yet known but it is believed that his salary will more than double. Xavier University now must start the search for the 18th head basketball coach for the program which achieved its first number one seed in the NCAA tournament this year. Assistant XU coach Travis Steele is considered one of the front runners for the job.
