(Hamilton, OH) - A Butler County man went before a judge Monday, accused of starving two dogs nearly to death.
Brian Trauthwein, 42, is charged with animal cruelty after he allowed the animals to wither to skin and bones, said sheriff's deputies.
A $7,500 bond was set for Brian S. Trauthwein by Hamilton Municipal Court Judge Daniel Gattermeyer.
The boxer named Porsche and pit mix named Chloe are making progress just five days into their recovery from severe undernourishment, said officers.
Trauthwein will be back in court at 8 a.m. April 2.
