Unattended Cooking Sparks Westwood Apartment Fire

(Cincinnati, OH) - Cincinnati firefighters were called out to a Westwood apartment fire at 2640 Queen City Ave at 11:41 p.m. Sunday. 

Upon arrival fire companies reported heavy fire on the 1st floor of a 2 story brick multi dwelling. 

Crews quickly advanced fire lines into the building extinguishing and containing the fire to the first floor apartment. 

All occupants had self evacuated prior to the arrival of the fire department. 

The cause of the fire was determined to be unattended cooking. 

One adult male was displaced and is being assisted by the Red Cross. The damage is estimated at $15,000.
