(700 WLW)- The 911 dispatch center received a call stating an apartment was on fire in the 2600 block of Queen City Avenue. Upon arrival just before midnight, fire companies reported heavy fire on the 1st floor of a 2 story brick multi dwelling. Companies quickly advanced fire lines into the building extinguishing and containing the fire to the first floor apartment. All occupants had self evacuated prior to the arrival of the fire department. The cause of the fire was determined to be unattended cooking. One adult male was displaced and is being assisted by the Red Cross. The damage is estimated at $15,000.
