Ross Township Teen To Be Tried As Adult In Murder Case

(Butler Co., OH) - The 17-year-old accused of killing his Ross High School classmate will be tried as an adult. 

Zachary Welch of Ross Township is facing charges murder, aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence in the death of 18-year-old Austin Hensley during a January robbery. Welch told investigators he was pistol-whipping Hensley in the head when the gun went off.  

A judge set Welsh's bond at $750,000. A Butler County Grand Jury will consider whether or not to indict Welch.
