Ohio River Crests at 60.53 Feet Sunday

(Cincinnati, OH) The Flood Warning continues for the Ohio River until further notice. The river crested at 60.53 Sunday evening. The river will begin falling, but remain above flood stage for the next 5 days.

The Flood Warning continues for the Great Miami River at Miamitown until Tuesday morning. 

The 5 flood gates that are in place are being monitored and functioning as designed. No additional gates are anticipated to need to be placed in service.

The following gates remain closed:

  • Harriet St, Gate 7
  • Mehring Way, Gate 8
  • Carr St, Gate 9
  • Ditch Gate, Gate 11
  • Penn Central, Gate 5

The American Red Cross is working with flood victims who need shelter.

As of Sunday morning, Metropolitan Sewer District of Greater Cincinnati (MSD) has had 195 sewer back up calls since last evening with a current inventory of 144. Fourteen crews are out servicing these as quickly as they are able. Find out more information on what to do if you get back up here.
