Western Kentucky To See The Worst of the Rain

(Paducah, KY)  --  Western Kentucky will see the worst of this week's rain. Forecasters say most of the state will see some showers tomorrow, and for the rest of the week.

But western Kentucky will see the worst of it. The National Weather Service is leaving a Flood Warning in place for the Ohio River from north of Louisville to where the Ohio meets the Mississippi River till further notice.

Forecasters say folks from Owensboro to Paducah will see anywhere between two and five inches of rain over the next several days.

The Ohio River is also expected to continue to breach its banks this week, people who live along the river are being warned to expect moderate flooding.

Police warn drivers not to drive through high water.

Dan Scroggins with AAA says "Never drive though water because you can never tell how deep it is, or if the road has washed away underneath of it. Often times a flood event will come though and there will be high water and when the water receded there are chunks roadway that are missing and you cant beat the water, you just cant."
